Privacy Policy
Effective August 10, 2026
Faith Harvest Connect is a private members’ app operated by Faith Harvest Church for our own congregation. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do not do with it. Plainly: we collect only what the app needs in order to run, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
Information you give us when you sign in
You sign in with your Google account. Google gives us three pieces of information, which we request under the openid, email and profile scopes:
- your email address, used to identify you as a member;
- your name, shown on RSVPs and in the member directory;
- your Google profile picture, used as your photo in the app.
We do not request and cannot see your Gmail, contacts, calendar, files, photos, or any other Google service. We never write anything to your Google account. We do not receive or store your Google password.
Information stored in the app
- Member profile — name, email address, phone number, your role at the church, whether your membership is active, gender, and, if you choose to provide it, whether you have children and details you enter about them.
- Profile photo — the image shown next to your name.
- Event RSVPs — which events you said you are attending or declining.
- Potluck sign-ups — the dish, quantity, and any notes you add.
- Prayer requests — the topic, whether it is personal or church-wide, the request itself, and whether it has been marked answered.
- Notification settings — if you turn on reminders, the browser push address for that device, a device label, and when it was last seen. Turning notifications off removes it.
- Change history — when a church leader edits an event, we record who changed it and when, so the leadership team can see who did what.
Who can see your information
The app itself is not public. Our home page, this policy and our Terms can be read by anyone, and they contain no member information; every other page — events, RSVPs, profiles, prayer requests — requires you to be signed in. Within the app:
- Other signed-in members can see your name, photo, and whether you are attending an event, and potluck sign-ups for events they can see.
- Church leaders and administrators can additionally see contact details, unpublished events, internal event notes, and the change history.
- Prayer requests are visible to you and to church leadership. Requests you mark as church-wide are intended to be prayed over by the church.
How your information is handled
Your information is stored in a database on a server rented and operated by the church, and is not shared with any analytics, advertising, or data-broker service. Traffic to the app is encrypted in transit. The only outside parties involved are our hosting provider, which operates the server, and — if you turn on notifications — the push service run by your own browser or phone maker (for example Google, Apple, or Mozilla), which is what delivers the message to your device.
We keep your information for as long as you are a member. We do not use it to train machine-learning models, and we do not transfer it to anyone else except as described above.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Faith Harvest Connect’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Your choices
- Correct your details — edit your profile in the app, or ask a church leader.
- Turn off notifications — switch reminders off in the app, or revoke notification permission in your browser.
- Disconnect Google — remove Faith Harvest Connect at myaccount.google.com/connections at any time. You will no longer be able to sign in.
- Delete your information — ask a church leader and we will remove your profile, photo, RSVPs, potluck sign-ups, and prayer requests.
Children
Faith Harvest Connect is intended for adult members. Accounts are not created for children. Where a member records information about their own children, that is entered by the parent for church planning purposes.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. For any question about this policy or your information, contact Faith Harvest Church through faithharvest.cc.
